What makes a good Skool welcome DM?
A good welcome DM is short, personal and asks for one thing. Members who take a first step in week one are the ones who stay, so the DM's only job is to get that step taken.
- Say hello by name. A first name in the first line is the difference between a message and a broadcast.
- Give ONE first step. An intro post or the first lesson. One step gets done; five get ignored.
- Ask a question. "What do you want to figure out first?" turns a welcome into a conversation.
- Sign it yourself. Members joined to be near you. Your name at the bottom says a person is here.
Example: a three-DM welcome sequence
