Welcome every new member within minutes

The first hour decides whether a new member sticks. Say hi while they are still looking around, every time, without being at your desk.

Skooly One: a welcome flow

Skooly OneAny member

  1. Install Skooly One from skoo.ly/one (included with any membership of skool.com/skooly). Open your community on Skool and click the Skooly One icon in Chrome's toolbar (pin it from the puzzle piece if it is hidden). The panel opens on Not connected: click Connect my community and it connects the community you have open. To add another later, go to Home, click Connect a community, then Connect this community.
  2. Open DMs and click + New (or New DM if you have none yet). Under When pick Someone joins, under Where pick the community, type a Name and click Create.
  3. Edit the starter message (it begins Hey #name#, welcome!). Click + Add a step, choose Wait, then + Add a step again and choose Send a DM for a check-in. Click Save steps.
  4. Switch the flow to ● On. Nothing sends until it is on.
  5. Leave Stop when they reply on in the gear sheet (it starts on). Before each follow-up, Skooly One checks for a reply and stops if they answered.
You end up with: Every approved join usually gets your welcome within about 10 minutes, 24/7, from your own Skool account, with a check-in after the wait you set.
Works on Any member of skool.com/skooly.

Skout quest

Earns Skout the Name tag.

Done when: A welcome sequence (New member trigger) is active and has sent its first DM.

A VIP quest. On any Skool page, click Skout, then Quests.

Watch out

  • Pick one home for the welcome. Skooly One and a VIP sequence share no data, so a welcome turned on in both sends two DMs to every new member.
  • Neither tool goes back in time. Skooly One's first check after you connect records who is already there and sends nothing. The portal trigger fires on new joins only.
  • The portal only welcomes people who joined in the last 72 hours. If Night Hawk first sees a member later than that, it skips them rather than send a stale welcome.
  • In the portal, a member who leaves and comes back within 7 days counts as the same membership and gets no second welcome.
  • Saving is not activating. A saved, unactivated sequence looks almost identical to a running one. If the button says Activate, it is not running.
  • Skooly One sends 30 seconds apart and at most 20 DMs an hour per owner. The portal sends 30 seconds apart and at most 100 an hour per community. On a big join day the extra DMs wait their turn. None are dropped.

Skooly MCP, Premium and up. Works in Claude, ChatGPT or Grok.

Reports who joined this week and whether each has posted yet. It can't send the welcome; the flow above does that.

Who joined my community in the last 7 days? For each one, tell me when they last posted or commented, or if they have not yet.
